A 16 year old found his father slouched in a chair with a leash wrapped around his neck three times with the dog still attached.
A medical examiner's report the teen, one of the man's two sons, told first responders their dad was abusive to him and his mother, whose divorce from him had been finalized less than two weeks before, and said, "I feel weird because I don’t feel bad he might die."
Investigators have said that the song told firefighters he was glad his father was gone. Detectives believe something isn't adding up. They say the song said the father was never physically abusive towards them. The son had apparently called his mother, who is in Florida, five times before calling 911. Additionally, the son had researched how to transfer money from his fathers account after his death. The son did mention that he feared what his father would do if he survived. The detectives have only discovered verbal abusive for not doing home work and leaving dishes in the sink.
