Woman Injured Proving She Could Run In Heels

In Austin over the weekend, a young woman and her friends left the club, and one of them left in an ambulance. The woman was walking from the bar around 2:30 Saturday morning, when a passerby asked if she could run in the heels she was wearing. Well, she just had to prove to the man she could. So, she takes off across the street, and that was when she was struck by an SUV, and dragged some 15 yards. The driver, kept going until he was out of sight according to witnesses. When cops arrived at the scene 20 minutes later, they found the suspect, a 21 year old Felipe Hernandez. He told the cops that he knew he hit someone, and proceeded northbound, and made a U-turn where he sat in his car crying before going back to the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital for a grain bleed, but her current condition is still unknown. Felipe was charged with failure to stop and render aid, which is a third degree felony.
