Flushmate II 501-B device has been recalled. The Flushmate II 501-B device is a device designed to send pressure water into your bowl to speed up the flushing and fill up cycle.
According to the government. A seal is breaking and causing the lid to shoot up into the air or the tank to explode. The defective device has cost nearly 1 million dollars in damage and many injuries including an individual who needed foot surgery. There are over a million in use in the US.
The Series 503 Flushmate III was recalled in June 2012, January 2014 and July 2016
