A man in China bought what he thought was a puppy and was shocked to find it was a bamboo rat. He got the rat from a cheap "dog dealer." He thought it was strange because the dog "behaving weird" and "didn't run like a dog". He posted a picture of the animal on-line, and was told it was a bamboo rat. He ended up giving the rat away because he didn't know how to care for it.
