Police in Massachusetts say James Stern impersonated a justice of the peace at a Cape Cod wedding last month and preyed on the wedding party, allegedly stealing credit card information from a bridesmaid. A couple hired the man to officiate the wedding add lighting and run the photo booth. The pair found the man on-line with many positive reviews. Stern didn't bring the lighting, guests saw him sleeping outside the bridal suite and the bride is still waiting for the usb with the photos from her photobooth. Then a bridesmaid noticed a $850 charge, $700 charge and another card had a $1,243 charge. Police discovered the man has 51 charges dating back to '94 for crimes like identity fraud, fraudulent use of a credit card and related larceny charges. The man was arrested earlier this week and charged with larceny by false pretense and impersonating a justice of the peace.
