An officer patroling a park on Saturday night around 1130 pm ran over a 24-year-old man and woman. The couple lives near the park and were there to see the eclipse because there was less light pollution there. The officer was traveling about 5 mph on the trail and the couple was transferred to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The officer is on administrative leave.
