A 42-year-old man began having a seizure after the Aeromexico flight to Bogota from Tokyo made a stopover in Mexico City. The flight made an emergency landing where paramedics boarded the plane and declared the passenger dead, the local coroner's office said in a tweet. Authorities say the man died of a cerebral edema—swelling of the brain—caused by a drug overdose. The bags of cocaine, measuring around 1 inch by 0.4 inches, were found in his stomach and intestines during the autopsy.
