Eli Gregg was playing with friends on Saturday when his mother heard a scream. She thought it was part of the horseplay, but Eli came to the door with a knife sticking out of his head. Apparently, when Eli was handling the knife, he fell and it went through his face. The mother called 911 and he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. The doctors had to control the blood supply to the area with balloons and catheters before they could actually remove the blade. The surgeons reported that they had to use a vise to grip it, rather than their hands. The procedure was successful, and Eli is on the road to recovery.
