Monkeys Snatch Indian Children, Kill One

One of two Indian newborn babies is dead following their kidnapping by a pack of wild monkeys. The Times of India reports the animals broke into a home and snatched away two eight-day-old girls while the mother was on the toilet. Neighbors apparently heard the commotion and tried to help, but one of the girls was found floating dead in a moat. The rescued girl was taken to a hospital for observation. A district forest officer says the rare case is under investigation, especially as the babies didn't show signs of being violently grabbed by crazed animals.
