A new study describes how one Ohio man suffering from COVID-19 endured a painful, hours-long erection. The 69-year-old was admitted to Dayton's Miami Valley Hospital last August with a severe case of the coronavirus. The man, who suffered more than 10 days in a deteriorating state, was turned over to help air move better through his body. However, staff then discovered the man had an erect penis, which didn't go down for three hours until it was drained of blood. He was unconscious the whole time and eventually died. Medical experts say the virus caused a rare blood clot in the man's penis, leading to the condition.
