A Florida mother is in custody after she reportedly was drunkenly speeding through Brevard County to get to a grocery store where she thought she left her infant. Police say Jessica Lynn Lawton was clocked going double the 35-mile per hour speed limit Saturday as she was heading for the Publix in Titusville. An unmarked police car followed her to the store when she finally parked, got out of the car and asked police "Where is my baby?" The arrest report says Lawton eventually mentioned that her child was at home. Police also found a syringe and what is believed to be traces of fentanyl in her bag. She is facing charges of DUI, fleeing and eluding an officer, possession of heroin and reckless driving.
