An Alabama man is facing an aggravated animal cruelty and theft charge in Georgia after being accused of beheading a ram during a white supremacy training camp in 2019. Brandon Gregory Ashley is one of five people charged last week in the event that allegedly occurred in Silver Creek for hate group The Base. The Rome News-Tribune reports The Base is an online group of "hard-core neo-Nazis." During a training session, this group allegedly stole a ram from a farm and attempted to kill it with a knife. When that didn't work, they allegedly shot the ram and beheaded the animal as part of a "pagan ritual sacrifice."
