The leader of a cult that angered Kauai residents last year has been found mummified in a home in rural Southern Colorado. Last September, while the COVID-19 pandemic was raging in Hawaii, members of the "Love Has Won" spiritual group rented property on Kauai. But, they ultimately decided to leave after meeting harsh opposition from residents. The body of Amy Carlson, who was called "Mother God" by her followers, was found last Wednesday. Authorities say the body was wrapped in a sleeping bag and decorated in Christmas lights. Seven people have been arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse.
