A British woman is recovering from a leg amputation following a night in a hot tub with friends. The Sun reports Lauren Briggs was rushed to the hospital after spending a night at her friend's house in Essex. Doctors diagnosed her with meningitis and amputated her right leg along with her left toes in order to save her life. It was determined that the hot tub she spent time in was likely filled with various bacteria. She was on life support for 48 hours. Briggs now says she is trying to get used to her new life, which has drastically changed since the incident.
