74-Year-Old Man Sets Fire To Apartment And Jumps From Window Over Eviction

Baltimore Police say an eviction dispute is what led a man to set fire to his apartment before leaping from its window. First responders were addressing a small fire on the eighth floor of an apartment complex Sunday night when a man identified as David Thompson leaped from the topmost floor. He was pronouned dead at the scene. Investigators found Thompson was scheduled to be evicted for smoking in the building and believe he caused the fire before committing suicide. The fire was contained no residents were displaced.
