Woman Catches Gun Charge Over Stupid Pet Trick

There's a reason why some people shouldn't have guns. In Wisconsin last week, 19 year old Jashanti Pleasant was at a friend's apartment when she pulled out a 9 mill from a drawer that belonged to her buddy James. According to reports, the two had been getting lit on brandy when Jashanti grabbed the Smith & Wesson from the drawer and flipped the laser sight on and pointed it at the floor in attempt to get the cat to chase it. While using the gun to play with the cat, she accidentally fired a round off. The bullet hit James the gun owner and went through his leg and into the oven. When James got shot he stood there for a minute then asked Jashanti if she just shot him. Police came out and took Jashanti in for causing injury by the negligent use of a weapon. As for her buddy James...well...he's got a felony gun charge being as that it was his gun and as a felon he can't own one. He was treated for is wound, and Jashanti apologized for shooting him, to which he told her it was ok.
