Police Say Woman Had Parties While Hiding Roommate's Corpse

New York Police say an upstate woman hid her roommate's body and continued to host parties at their house. Police in Johnstown conducted a February welfare check on Patricia Barter, who lived at a home with Stephanie Hillburn and another woman. Officers then discovered Barter's body in a room before determining she died from an overdose a week ago. Investigators say the two other women hid Barter's body while holding several parties and gatherings at their house. Hillburn was recently arrested on an active warrant, while the other woman is facing a related charge while in state prison.
