A group of six people are suing a crematorium in Maine, alleging that the business let their relatives' bodies rot in the basement. Affordable Cremation Solution in Lewiston was already shut down earlier this year by the state Board of Funeral Service following an investigation. A state investigator reported that some bodies had been left unrefrigerated for months, with brown liquid and various odors filling that area of the basement. The lawsuit says that the families suffered "severe emotional harm" after learning of the state of their family members. It is not specified what type of damages the plaintiffs are suing for.
