A 20-year-old student in England is so allergic to cold that she can’t eat ice cream or drink chilled drinks because they could kill her. Zuzanna Dmitruk has suffered from the problem since she was 10 when her fingertips would swell and itch if she was outside during the winter. The condition, known as cold urticaria, has gotten worse as Dmitruk’s gotten older, but she says she’s learned to live with it. Dmitruk uses her TikTok channel to share details about how the allergy affects her life to help other people that suffer the same allergy know that they’re not alone.
