“Risky Business” Porsche Sells For Almost $2 Million

Someone was enough of a fan of the 1983 film “Risky Business,” Porsches, or both, to shell out $1.98 million to own the car featured in the movie. Barrett-Jackson certified the winning bid at the conclusion of their Houston Auction. The 1979 Porsche 928 holds an “immaculate and factory-original” value of $79,500, but the cinematic history clearly gave it a boost. Ten years ago, this exact car went for $49,200 at auction. Why the $1.5 million increase? No one knows for sure.
