Woman Charged With Grit Attack

Grits are made for eatin' and not for beatin'. Last week, 49 year old Dereise Johnson got into an argument with her old man. During the argument, Dereise took a pit of grits and hit the man with it. The hot grits caused burns on the man's arm along with the burns the man needed stitches to his head and face after she was dome with him. They didn't say as to why the two were arguing, but this isn't the first time she's been in trouble for her temper. She's had five different convictions on battery alone since 2000. The most recent conviction being in 2017 when she got into an argument with her aunt who suffered an eye injury and a bloody nose and lip when Dereise whooped up on her aunt for unknown reasons. In 2019 she was arrested for domestic for allegedly striking her boyfriend (the same boyfriend she has now) in the face over money, but they decided not to pursue any felony charges in that case.
