A man in Farmington is facing attempted murder charges after police say he shot his ex-girlfriend's date in the leg. Officers arrested 36-year-old Aaron Gaitan last week. Court records show Gaitan confronted the other man and his ex after they had come back to the woman's home following a date. The suspect hit the man in the head several times with the gun, and struck his ex when she attempted to stop him. Gaitan then shot the man in the leg after he got into his truck and tried to drive off.
