A landlord in Kansas City, Missouri is accused of stabbing a tenant over 30 times after a tenant messaged him to tell the landlord that the heat wasn’t working in their new home. Gordon McBeth pled not guilty on Monday to a charge of second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of 28-year-old Darryl Gilland. According to Gilland’s girlfriend, Samantha Pohlman, Gilland came to check the heat, then said "If that's not good enough, I will kill you" before he began stabbing the boyfriend, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Neighbors ran toward screaming on the day of the attack and allegedly found Gilland “on top” of the victim repeatedly stabbing him.
