70 year old Maya Murmu was collecting water at her Eastern India village when she was trampled to death by an angry elephant early last Thursday. She was rushed to the hospital where she died of her injuries. Later that evening as the family was saying goodbye to the woman, the elephant came back...took the old woman's body off the funeral pyre and trampled it again, this time throwing her around before it ran off into the night. They say that about 100 people are killed by elephants each year.
