A 33 year old Scottish finance boss Mark Richards was was a little tipsy last month when he decided to hop in his Mercedes and take a drive. All was well until he smashed into a wall and a lamp post. When he crashed instead of calling for help he decided to take a walk. When the car's onboard computer system didn't get a response from him, it sent an automated emergency call to police giving them exact GPS location so they could find the man, and find the man they did. When police arrived, they didn't find anybody in the car, but they did hear a man's voice about 600 feet away in a field. Mr. Richards was visibly intoxicated according to authorities, and had admitted to having two drinks earlier in the day. They went ahead and took him in for drunk driving. His license has been suspended for 14 months, but the judge says that can be reduced if he completes a drunk driving course.
