Police are investigating after a burnt human skeleton was found inside a barbeque pit on Tuesday afternoon at a home in southeast Houston. A person working in the back yard of the home on Peach Creek Drive near Allendale Road found the remains and called the police. Investigators are talking with the family that lives at the home in an effort to find out how the remains got inside the large brick pit. The Medical Examiner has yet to determine the person's age, sex, and cause of death. No charges have been filed.
