Man Accused Of Killing Roommate Because He "Annoyed" Him

Just because somebody annoys you doesn't mean you can shoot them. Back in May, a fella by the name of Ernie Wilburn was locked out of his home, so he stood outside yelling at his roommate 42 year old Jesse Hill to let him in. Jesse didn't like that so much, so he shot at the man through the bedroom window with an air rifle. When deputies got to the house, they found Ernie dead inside, covered with a sheet with furniture pillows stacked on top of him. They say it was clear the body had been moved because of a blood stain on the floor. When they told Jesse they had a warrant, Jesse asked if it included a particular area of the property. They said it did, and when they searched that area, they found a Ruger .22 air rifle. Now, Jesse said he didn't think that the gun would kill the man, but the property's owner said that he had scolded Jesse for shooting the gun in the home where it went through several panels, so Jesse knew the damage that the gun could do. Jesse split for a bit telling people he was wanted for murder even though the cops never said that to him. They eventually found him and took him in for manslaughter.
