Dozens of people are sick after fecal exposure in a Kansas wildlife park. The Center for Disease Control found fecal--borne pathogens, shigella bacteria, and even norovirus on a children's splash pad that had been contaminated. Both the shigella bacteria and norovirus cause intense stomach pains, vomiting, diarrhea, and fevers. In total, 27 people fell sick and three had to be hospitalized for their symptoms. The CDC is reminding people not to ingest water from public pools or splash pads and to avoid playing in water park areas if you're sick.
