There is a hidden billionaire out there. The $1.34 billion Mega Millions jackpot winner from last month has not yet collected their substantial award. On July 29th, the winning ticket was revealed. The biggest lottery prize ever won in Illinois and the third-largest in the US was sold at a Speedway petrol station in Des Plaines. The winner has a full year to claim their prize, albeit they only have 60 days from the drawing date to decide whether they want to receive the full amount over 29 years or a lump sum of $780 million. Of course, jackpots of this size typically result in prize delays.
