A Florida woman is being sentenced to life in prison for the malnutrition death of her young son. Sheila O'Leary and her husband Ryan O'Leary followed a strict vegan diet, only eating raw fruits and vegetables, and forced their three children to do the same. In September of 2019 police found the couple's 18-month-old son had died of malnutrition and starvation and was the size of a baby less than half his age. Sheila was convicted in June on six charges, including first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter. On Monday she was sentenced to life in prison. Ryan O'Leary remains in jail while awaiting trial on the same charges.
