A 9-1-1 dispatcher faces charges for allegedly being drunk on the job. That's according to police in Powell County who say a female dispatcher had slurred speech over the radio on Sunday afternoon. Officers went to the dispatch center and arrested her on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place and official misconduct. Arrest records show she had a blood alcohol level over two times the legal limit and police say she looked glazed-over and smelled of alcohol.
