An Illinois man is facing charges for handing out candy in bags that previously contained marijuana on Halloween. South Chicago Heights police say the suspect admitted to putting gummy bears in the used packaging and handing out about 20 bags. Police said the bags smelled like marijuana and had residue inside, but it's not clear if the candy was infused with cannabis. Police began investigating after a parent noticed the unmarked bag and odor. The suspect, Jarod Feilen, was charged with five counts of child endangerment.
