Driver Busted For DUI After Buying Owl At Gas Station

Police in Arizona say they discovered an owl in the passenger seat of a vehicle pulled over for a DUI. Officers from the town of Payson found the bird of prey riding shotgun. The driver explained that he bought the bird at a gas station northeast of Phoenix. The man was later taken into custody for DUI, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of wildlife. The owl was reportedly later picked up by the Arizona Game and Fish Department and will be treated for minor injuries.
