Big Island police have arrested a married couple on suspicion of having more than 25 pounds of illegal aerial fireworks inside their home. The man and woman from Waimea were charged with illegal fireworks violations and several drug offenses last Saturday. The couple also had two young children living inside the home. They were taken into protective custody for their safety. Both suspects have been released from jail and are due in court in early February.
