TSA in San Antonio found something they don't see everyday. According to reports, Agents found an 84mm Carl Gustaf M4 recoilless rifle in some outbound checked luggage. The owner was tracked down, where he explained that it was demilitarized and was a prop for the SHOT Show in Vegas. The owner went on to show them the proper paperwork and how it had been demilitarized. Even though the TSA Explosive Specialist confirmed it was unusable, they still wouldn't let it on the plane. The owner cooperated with police, a family member was able to get the weapon, and he was able to reschedule his flight. No charges have been filed but TSA reminds you how to transport weapons.
