There’s a possibility that the $2 bill you’ve been holding onto might be worth far more than two bucks. In fact, some of them could be worth as much as $4,500. While the $2 bill is still in circulation, most people tend to hold onto them when they get them…so they aren’t seen all that often. Wanna know how to tell if your $2 is worth more?
- Older versions of the bill are worth more than the newer ones. If you see a “brown or red seal” from the 1800s, then you might have hit the jackpot.
More recent bills can still fetch between $200 and $1,000. It all depends on the circulation of that particular printing, seal color, and printing year, especially before 1976.
