A Colorado couple is facing charges after a door-to-door salesman triggered a booby trap near the entrance to their home south of Denver. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says the salesman stepped on a trip wire at the home earlier this month. The motion triggered a loud bang and a bright light that left the man with a headache and constant ringing in his ears. Investigators later found a device loaded with a substance similar to pepper spray in the backyard. The couple has been charged with felony menacing, prohibited use of a weapon, assault and conspiracy.
