Three deputies from Greenville County are learning not to play around during training. According to reports, an investigation was launched in February after one deputy shot another during a training exercise. The deputies were training with blanks during a controlled exercise, and when it was done, they went to secure their equipment. That's when one deputy fired one of the blanks at another deputy. That deputy, who had forgotten they had already switched over to his duty weapon, fired back and shot that deputy in the foot. The injured one was taken to the hospital and treated. Both of them are now suspended for 10 days and will have to do remedial training. The supervisor that failed to monitor the others has also been suspended for three days and will also have to do remdial training.
