A woman who is suspected of faking her own kidnapping to hide the fact that she dropped out of college is being charged. Chloe Stein is charged with four demeanors, including false alarm to a public safety agency and disorderly conduct. She texted her boyfriend saying she was pulled over by police last week and then stopped answering her phone. A State Police Trooper said the department spent "tens of thousands" of dollars in the search before a tip came in saying she was at a home about 30 miles from Pittsburgh. Investigators learned from Penn State University officials that Stein hadn't been enrolled as a student for over a year and what would have been her graduation was coming up.
