According to reports, in Ireland, 41 year old Declan Haughney lived with his 66 year old uncle Peader Doyle. Peader would split his pension and welfare checks after the bills were paid. Well...Peader died and Declan still wanted the money, so him and his friend Gareth Coakley devised a plan to drag Peader's dead body into the post office to collect the check for $270. A witness saw the two carrying the body and called the cops, and that's when their plan was foiled. Police came out and declared the body dead at the scene. Declan went to jail and court and was sentenced to 2 years for deception. He walked from prison due to time served. Authorities say there was no foul play, and the family of the dead man has accepted the man back into the fold despite the hurt he has caused noting that he's had a long standing addiction to heroin.
