The Detroit Police supervisor seen on video allegedly assaulting a naked woman who spit on her has been suspended. Lt. Velma Hampton was arraigned last month on a misdemeanor charge for the 2022 incident. The naked woman was outside her police precinct and laid down in the street. Hampton and other officers tried to remove the lady who was resisting officers when she spit on Hampton. Hampton is due back in court later this month.
