Drunk Parent Arrested At Homecoming Dance

In Anderson Township Ohio, an 18 year old student got into an altercation while at the homecoming dance. While the students were being detained and questioned, 43 year old Stephen Stevens, the father of the 18 year old, showed up to help his son. While he was there, he demanded that officers explain why his son was being "illegally detained". Officers tried to explain to the man that he was being held so the assistant principal could figure out what to do. It was at that point Steve tried to take his son anyway, even though he was told he couldn't leave. Steve refused to leave while intoxicated. After an altercation with the cops, they ended up taking him to the ground and detaining him. No students or staff were involved and the situation was resolved buy student resource officers.
