Yelling at your kids could be causing long-term damage. New research out of Wingate University and University College London found that verbal abuse can have lasting repercussions on a child's mental and physical health. The study, published this week in the journal Child Abuse and Neglect, looked at data from over 45 years. The most common manifestations in children later on in life included depression, aggression, substance use and other behavioral disorders.
