The principal of a Louisiana high school who punished a student for dancing at a party has requested to take a leave of absence. Jason St. Pierre recently took away the senior's scholarship after she was seen on a video dancing at an off-campus party. He had also questioned the student's religious convictions and moral character. St. Pierre's actions triggered outrage from the community who felt the Walker High School principal overstepped his authority. He has since issued a public apology to the student, who also had her scholarship endorsement reinstated.
