Prosecutors in Racine, Wisconsin are moving ahead with charges against a local mom for not sending her kids to school. The DA yesterday charged Alicia Quiroz with neglect for allowing her kids to miss more than 80 days of school in 2021 and 2022. Investigators say Quiroz didn't send her 11-year-old and ten-year-old children to school on a regular basis. The two attended three different Racine schools over the past few years. Teachers told investigators that Quiroz's kids didn't know how to behave in school, were behind in learning, and almost never did their homework. Quiroz is facing just under two years in jail and a 20 thousand-dollar fine.
