In a cruel twist of fate, a Bronx man who miraculously survived a stray gunshot wound to his abdomen 58-years ago is dead, shot in the abdomen - seemingly at random, again. In late November 1970, Darren Joseph was critically wounded after he was hit in the abdomen by stray fire, while watching TV with his mother. He survived, but doctors had to rearrange his organs to do it. Flash forward to Friday - less than a mile away from that old home. People on mopeds opened fire, with no known motive at this time, ending his life. His sister tells the New York Daily News his old gunshot wounds - probably made it impossible to save him from the new ones. No word of any arrests.
