A 14-hour standoff went down in the UK recently when two men held their delivery driver hostage after he “failed at his job” when their kebabs arrived late and cold...and their salad was missing. Paul Burton, 45, and Nathan Turner, 37, decided to livestream the whole thing on Facebook, complaining to police about the shoddy driver. After a police negotiator tried to calm things down, Burton fired a shot at a police car, nearly hitting an officer. But as an armed officer got into place to “take a shot, if necessary,” the pair came out of the apartment and surrendered. Burton was sentenced to a seven-year prison sentence for attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and two charges of possessing a firearm without a permit. Tuner was hit with four charges of criminal damage and got 20 months.
