With the rush to grab Target’s Stanley x Starbucks tumblers, some people are confused. Stanley has been a strong brand for blue collar workers and outdoorsy people since 1913… so why are they just getting their earned recognition?
It all started in 2019 when The Buy Guide, longtime fans of the brand, touted a Stanley Quencher. They gifted one to “Bachelor Nation” alum Emily Maynard Johnson. A Stanley exec noticed and gave The Buy Guide the opportunity to buy thousands of Quenchers to give away. They sold out twice and the viral love of the brand was ignited.
Things are a bit crazy now, with Stanley being an “it” brand comes the negative like kids being bullied for not having one and some wondering why a person needs to collect them when they are reusable. Stanley will just enjoy riding the wave.
