Poor Conditions At Police Headquarters Described By New Chief

The newly-picked head of New Orleans police is painting a bleak picture of the department's headquarters. Chief Anne Kirkpatrick says rats have invaded the evidence room and have eaten all the marijuana. She told City Council that on a visit she noticed the rodents all seemed to be high. Police leadership is pleading for the funding to move the department to a new location. One idea that's being discussed are a few floors of a highrise across from the Caesars Superdome.
