When it comes to getting a tattoo, most people spend hours mulling over their options before sitting down in the chair to be inked. That's exactly the process one young man took for his first tattoo - but unfortunately, his forward planning didn't quite work out.
On Reddit, his mum shared how he returned home to proudly show off his inking, not realising the glaring mistake he and his tattoo artist made just hours earlier. His tattoo, inked above his right, back elbow, reads: "Think Postivite", rather than "Think Positive", with a cross representing the 'T'.
Through fits of laughter, his mum said: "My dyslexic son's tattoo - he's keeping a positive attitude. Crying laughing! My son posted it online and his friends made fun of him. He didn't even know. He told the tattoo artist what he wanted and showed her a picture. He didn't write anything.
"When he texted me the picture, my first message was 'Oh sweetie, it can be covered'. Poor kid. He learned a huge lesson early. I told him a cross was a bad idea..." She shared how he got a cover-up tattoo the very same day - and is now planning to get a sleeve to disguise it even more.
She added: "[He covered it] with black trees. You can still see it under the trees. He's going to need a professional. He plans on getting a sleeve and will get mountains above the trees. We lived in Colorado and loved it. I told him to get an alien ship floating above the trees in the mountains beaming up Bigfoot and he seemed to like that idea."
Commenting on his tattoo blunder, one user said: "Was the artist dyslexic too?" Another user added: "My dyslexic ass didn’t see the issue at first glance." A third user said: "Omg wait. I actually love that he’s dyslexic and got this. He should’ve kept it."
